This project involved a comprehensive renovation and second-floor addition to an existing bungalow, transforming its character from Santa Fe style to a fresh, Coastal Australian–inspired residence. The new design emphasizes light, restraint, and refined detailing, with a minimal aesthetic that feels both relaxed and highly intentional.
Ceiling heights were maximized throughout to enhance volume and natural light, reinforcing the home’s open, airy quality. A flexible living area was carefully planned to support both exercise and relaxation, offering adaptable functionality without compromising the calm, residential feel of the space.
Large openings connect the interior to a private outdoor area, where expansive doors fully open to allow seamless indoor–outdoor California living. The overall design language complements the clients’ forward-thinking, practical lifestyle, reflecting a contemporary approach to living that is both stylish and deeply livable.
