Nestled in the heart of Carlsbad, Karma Spa offers a thoughtfully curated day spa experience where relaxation becomes renewal. The focus of the 16 massage room, 5000 square foot space was to design an immersive wellness retreat blending contemporary architecture with Asian-inspired artistry to create a layered, sensory experience. A dramatic dragon mural and etched glass entry panels establish a strong graphic identity, while carved wood furnishings and grounded natural textures add warmth and balance. 

Atmosphere is driven by intentional lighting with color-shifting cove illumination in treatment rooms, a backlit water feature at the reception, sculptural pendant lighting, and soft lantern glows throughout the corridor The result is a modern spa environment that feels calming yet dynamic, refined yet expressive.

From the initial design layout to the creation of custom koi fish art pieces by hand, SIDI focused on creating an environment to engage all senses, creating a retreat that feels both restorative and visually memorable.
