Colorado Springs

This kitchen was designed for a private residence in Colorado Springs, with a strong emphasis on craftsmanship, functionality, and thoughtful reuse. The client wished to reutilize their existing appliances, including their Sub-Zero refrigeration, which were seamlessly integrated into the new design.

The client is an avid cook with a deep appreciation for fresh, seasonal foods and vegetables, regularly sourcing ingredients from local farmers’ markets. The kitchen was designed to support this passion—prioritizing intuitive workflow, generous preparation areas, and highly functional storage—creating a space that feels equally suited to everyday cooking and more involved culinary pursuits.

Elegant Flos fixtures provide a refined yet understated statement at the sink area, adding warmth and visual interest while maintaining a clean, composed aesthetic. Hardware throughout is by Armac Martin, whose English heritage informed the cabinetry’s detailing and proportions, lending the space a sense of tradition interpreted through a contemporary lens.

Custom cabinetry blends classic inset construction with detailed doors, furniture-style legs, and fluted glass upper cabinets, giving the kitchen a bespoke, furniture-like presence rather than a purely built-in feel. All cabinetry was custom fabricated by Keating Woodworks, underscoring the project’s commitment to local craftsmanship, precision, and enduring quality.
